It's Nebraska week, so it's time to talk with our friend Erin Sorensen (@erinsorensen) from Land of 10.  It goes about how you'd expect it to: Scott Frost fan fic and Kirk Ferentz buyout talk.  It's like 55 minutes long, and the intro song might be longer than the discussion of the actual game.  We all know what's going to happen Friday.  It's what happens next that is the truly interesting part.

We are at war with Purdue.

We have always been at war with Purdue.

But in all long wars, one inherently finds a grudging respect for their worthy adversary.  And so have we with Aneesh Ramaswamy (@aneeshswamy) of Boiled Sports, a man we like.  A man we respect.  A man we'd have a beer with, if we could ever find where that wormhole that takes us to West Lafayette is.

There are a few guarantees during Wisconsin Week:

(1) Someone's running for like 300 yards.

(2) Those 300 yards will translate into right about 17 points.

(3) We'll have Jake Kocorowski (@JakeKocoB5Q) from Bucky's Fifth Quarter on to preview the game.

(4) Jake's going to give really long answers to the questions.

We loved it.  We're sure you will, too.

We don't see Ohio State that often anymore, but the story remains the same: They're perennial playoff contenders, and Iowa's playing spoiler.  The only good that comes of this: We get to talk with Ramzy Nasrallah (@ramzy) from Eleven Warriors, the self-proclaimed Cat King of New Jersey.  I won't say he's nervous about this game, but he's about as reasonable as you're going to find from a team that just sprung a massive comeback to take down Penn State.

Ah, it's Halloween Week, and the smell of rodent is in the air.  And while this game is more fun when you can't feel your feet from the cold, that doesn't mean we can't do the best with what we've been given.  That's why we're talking Iowa-Minnesota with Ben Dawson (@BenjaminJDawson) tonight on the podcast.  Listen, won't you?

For most people, previewing Iowa basketball would involve, you know, actually previewing Iowa basketball.  For us and our unwitting accomplice Jeremiah Davis (@jeremiahdavis10), it's about recklessly speculating about who Fran narc'd on.  We did eventually get around to actual hoops talk, though.

It's Illniois Week, so we consulted the only Illinois football fan we know, Robert from IlliniBoard (@ALionEye).  Have you guys heard how young this team is?  Because it's like insanely young.  You should listen to find out, and also to learn whether Illinois has an actual rival and what an Iowa-Illinois traveling trophy might look like.

We regroup for Michigan State, a day later than usual but still intact.  This week, we're joined by Sparty superfan and The Athletic contributor Chris Vannini (@ChrisVannini), who gives us the skinny on the Spartans and acknowledges what we all know: That Kirk Ferentz and Mark Dantonio hate each other with the white hot fury of a thousand supernovas.

Afterwards, Adam and Pat recap Penn State and examine what it might mean for the rest of 2017.  Zooey Dechanel is involved for some reason.  Finally, we talk a bit about our friend and former guest Brian Towle, who passed away unexpectedly this week.

It's Penn State Week, which has meant nothing but pain on the gridiron over the last few years.  But it also means we get to talk with our friends at Roar Lions Roar to get ready, almost enough to make up for Saquon Barkley turning the corner more than Dale Earnhardt on Saturday.  Bill (@bflip33) and Dan (@djvecellio) answer all our questions and play along with our ridiculousness, including (probably incorrect) references to Schroedinger and Wittgenstein all within the same two minutes.

We woke up on Wednesday and realized something: We don't know anything about North Texas football.  It was so scary that Jacobi bailed on the rest of the week entirely, but it's cool because our football guy, Mike Jones, is here to help me ask uninformed questions of Denton Record-Chronicle and Dallas Morning News UNT beat reporter Brett Vito (@brettvito).  Once we were sufficiently scared of UNT's receivers against Iowa's secondary, Mike and Pat moved on to recapping Cy-Hawk and peeking ahead to Penn State.
